Custom commissions

Something that doesn't exist yet.

A different size, a different leather, a bag built around what you carry. I take a handful of commissions each season and quote each one on its own.

How it works

Step 01

Tell me the story

What it's for, what goes in it, what you've loved and hated in other bags.

Step 02

A sketch and a quote

I come back with a drawing, a leather and a price. No obligation.

Step 03

Approval, then the bench

A deposit holds the slot. You approve the sketch and the embossing before the first cut.

Step 04

A photo before it ships

You see the finished piece before it's boxed. Then it's yours, repaired for life like everything else.

Common questions

How much does a commission cost?

Each one is quoted on its own, from size, leather and the work involved. You'll have a number before anything is cut.

How long does it take?

Longer than a stock bag. The quote comes with a date, and I keep it.

Does it get the removable lining?

Usually. If the shape takes the four anchors, it gets the same lining as every other bag.

Can I return a commission?

No; it's made for you. That's why you approve the sketch and see the photo first.

The brief

Send me the brief.

Two lines is enough to start. I answer within one business day, usually with questions.

Response
Within one business day

No obligation. A sketch and a quote come first.

Not sure it needs to be custom?

Most people find the Atlas Tote already does it.
